Zipply Art landscape pumpkin
Teacher Rhonda Berman
$55 class fee at time of registration
In this class we will make a pumpkin-shaped brooch or art piece using zippers, roving and embellishments. The zipper is hand sewn onto wool felt making the outline of the pumpkin. The inside is filled with wool roving by needle felting. The center of the pumpkin will become your canvas to create a miniature fall landscape. Trees on either side of the landscape will make the perfect frame and small beads will be added to depict fall leaves completing the look.
This class is open to all skill levels…if you can thread a needle, you can do this art form, however very sharp needles are used so it is preferable if students are at least 12 years of age. Needle-felting experience is a plus but not a prerequisite for this class.
Needle felting with locks
Teacher Heather Schmidtke

We will learn the basic steps of creating a Dorset Button. Thread is wrapped then woven over a plastic ring using various stitches and weaving techniques. Different threads and colors will be available.
